I know, I know, posting two days in a row... OH MY GOD!
Anyways, I was thinking about the whole Valentine's Day phenomenon. Some people love it, some people despise it with all of their being. I get that it's manufactured by greeting card companies to make money, and it sucks if you're single, because everyone around you is in love, and it sucks when you're in a relationship, because the expectations are SO HIGH, and it's just a filler holiday (in the commercial sense) between Christmas and Easter, and most of the candy is gross, but can't we just appreciate it? Love is in the air! Cherish it!
Above all, today is a day not to buy cheap candy for your friends, or expensive gifts for your significant other. It is a day to remind the people you love how much you love and appreciate them. It's important for us to acknowledge the people in our lives who we love the most. So call your mother and tell her how much you love her. Write your friend a nice note. It's a good day not to feel sorry for yourself, but to appreciate how loved you are.
